[ http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-161?page=comments#action_70009 ] Eugene Kuleshov commented on MNGECLIPSE-161: --------------------------------------------
This has to be thought trough very well. Generally you can't add dependency to just any pom.xml, but only to those that are in Eclipse workspace. But even then I am not sure if doing it in a view would be really the best choice since it has to be focused on specific root pom.xml. From other hand planned editor for pom.xml is not the right place for such functionality too since it is scoped to single pom.xml. At some point one of the users volunteered to implement a panel for dependency management in Maven build container properties, but I haven't heard from him for some time now. > Tree with pom.xml hierarchy > --------------------------- > > Key: MNGECLIPSE-161 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-161 > Project: Maven 2.x Extension for Eclipse > Issue Type: New Feature > Affects Versions: 0.0.9 > Environment: Eclipse 3.2 > Reporter: Matthias Bohlen > Assigned To: Eugene Kuleshov > > I use Maven 2 with a hierarchy of several pom.xml files. It would be very > nice if these poms were displayed in a separate view, with their dependencies > so that I could right-click on them and add dependencies in a nested, inner > pom. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
