For maven-2.0.x branch the docs are correct, but for trunk the docs should be changed like the reporter says. As I went through this I also read the entire guide and noted that it says Maven 2.0 in a lot of places, but in other places it refers to SVN trunk. We could either split the document into two - one for Maven 2.0.x and one for Maven 2.1, or we could have two sections in one document.
