The SQL catalog's `ListNamespaces(ctx, parent)` now returns only the direct children of `parent`, not `parent` itself and every descendant, and `ListNamespaces(ctx, nil)` returns the distinct first levels. `DropNamespace` returns `catalog.ErrNamespaceNotEmpty` while child namespaces exist. Both match Java's `JdbcCatalog`. Six existing tests in `sql_test.go` pinned the old listing; they now assert the new one. `TestDottedNamespaceComponentsRemainDistinct` still separates `["company_.x", "sales"]` from `["company_", "x", "sales"]`. #2389 adds the catalogtest nested-namespace cases with SQL's flag off. Whichever of the two merges second turns on `SupportsNestedNamespaces` for SQL. Verified: catalogtest conformance with #2389 merged and SQL's flag on → both nested cases pass; without this fix, both fail. Fixes #2388 -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
