The `Run zizmor 🌈` check sits in the `queued` state for hours on PRs (e.g. #18359), even though the job itself only takes ~10s once it gets a runner. Comparing PR runs over Oct 20-22: | Workflow | Runner | Median queue | Max queue | |---|---|---|---| | zizmor | `ubuntu-latest` | 75-159 min | ~7 h | | asf-allowlist-check | `ubuntu-24.04` | 1-2 min | 28 min | zizmor is the only PR-triggered workflow using `ubuntu-latest`; all others use `ubuntu-24.04` or `ubuntu-slim` and get runners within minutes. `ubuntu-latest` is currently being migrated to Ubuntu 26.04 (actions/runner-images#14748), which is the likely cause. This pins the job to `ubuntu-24.04`, consistent with the rest of the CI workflows. `ubuntu-slim` is not an option because zizmor-action runs zizmor via Docker. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
