## What - Prefetch historical snapshot manifest lists, up to 8 at a time. ## Why - Remote list reads currently happen in sequence. ## Implementation - Keep snapshot order and path deduplication. - Reuse completed cache entries without starting workers. - Stop outstanding reads when the scan stops early. ## Benchmark - Go 1.26.3, Apple M1 Pro, 64 lists, simulated 1 ms read, median of 10 runs. - 86.2 ms → 10.7 ms (8.0x). - Warm 64-snapshot cache: 12.7 µs → 12.7 µs, both 9 allocs/op. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
