A table scan with a variant `extract(...)` filter fails in `planFiles`:
- `ExpressionUtil.describe` throws `Unsupported term: extract(...)` while
`SnapshotScan.planFiles` logs the sanitized filter.
- With that fixed, `InclusiveMetricsEvaluator` fails on variant bounds read
from manifests (`Unsupported byte order: big endian`): `parseBounds` passed the
big-endian manifest buffer straight to `Variant.from`. It now decodes them
through `Conversions.fromByteBuffer`, like every other bound.
