Hi @RussellSpitzer, I'd like to pick this up if it's still open. I've read through #16224, and I understand the feedback there was to land the new API together with a real caller rather than on its own. My plan is to keep the change small: extend the SnapshotChanges builder to accept a snapshot range, and convert one in-core caller (PartitionStatsHandler.computeStatsDiff, as @haoxu0 pointed out) in the same PR, so the API is used from day one. @Shekharrajak @haoxu0 you've both put work into this. If either of you is still planning to pursue it, I'm happy to step back or collaborate instead of opening a competing PR.
