Closing: this was superseded by #1293, which landed the same fix (dropping the redundant Stat before WalkDir in DropNamespace) a few hours before this was approved. Rebasing onto main leaves an empty diff, so there is nothing left to merge. Thanks for the fix @gitcommit90 — same bug, same day, you just lost the race.
