Previously, the iceberg-rest-fixture test REST catalog did not expose the loadCredentials API endpoint that is part of the REST catalog spec. This made it tougher to test downstream callers of this REST catalog endpoint, such as iceberg-go (see https://github.com/apache/iceberg-go/pull/2075 ).
