Buffer until gcs.write.threshold-bytes (default 8 MiB) and upload with Storage.create so typical Iceberg metadata, manifests, and delete files avoid a resumable WriteChannel. Larger objects keep the existing WriteChannel path after that prefix. GCS recommends simple upload under about 5 MiB; 8 MiB is a coverage tradeoff and should not be raised without evidence.
