   Hi , thanks for the reply.  
   
   The geospatial spec defines the canonical form with as `geography(srid:4326, 
spherical)` (with a space) , and CRS values may also contain meaningful spaces, 
so the UDF requirement that type strings contain no spaces is incompatible with 
Iceberg type serialization.
   
   > Readers should accept optional whitespace around parameters and separators 
in parameterized type strings.
   
   I think we should fix the UDF spec first as a pre-req, is that what you 
mean?  This pr as is ships types with spaces.
