@zeroshade All the core catalog interface methods from the plan are
implemented and working with Spark integration tests.
One thing that's intentionally deferred: the current implementation only
supports local filesystem paths (file://). Cloud storage backends (S3, GCS,
ABFS) would need to be added as a follow-up — that involves wiring through the
io.IO abstraction instead of direct os calls. I'll file a separate issue to
track that.
Other than cloud support, I think there's few more functionality that we
can add — RenameTable and UpdateNamespaceProperties.
