Totally agree, pinning this down at the spec level before v4 lands is the
right move. A dev@iceberg thread would give Trino/Spark/Flink maintainers a
chance to weigh in on what they'd actually want from readers, rather than each
client independently picking a default.
Happy to help with anything on the Go side, gathering how we currently
handle it, writing up test cases, or contributing to the discussion once it's
going. Let me know if there's anything useful I can pull together.
