   Ok, I agree with you.
   
   I’ve updated the implementation to return a Set from `collectFieldNames()` 
instead of passing a mutable accumulator, 
https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/15283/commits/f55df63d2b174340b305b231680083b0bf1d838b.
   
   For now, I’m using a Set to naturally handle deduplication, and applying 
sorting separately.
