   > We have discussed this with @mxm. Adding Flink 2.2 would mean that we
removed Flink 1.20 and effectively end the Flink 1.x support. This is a big
Flink change and we decided that we would like to have one last Iceberg release
which supports Flink 1.20. We will move forward to Flink 2.2 in the next
Iceberg release.

@pvary @mxm Another solution could be that we remove support for Flink 2.0,
while maintaining support for Flink 1.20/2.1. I'm trying to provide some clues:
   - Flink 1.20 is marked as a long-term support (LTS) version [1]
   - Apache Flink CDC 3.6.0 supports Flink 1.20 and 2.2 [2]
   - Apache Fluss added support for Flink 2.2, dropped support for Flink 2.1
while maintains support for Flink 1.18/1.19/1.20 [3]
   - AWS [Managed Service for Apache
Flink](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/managed-flink/index.html) supports Flink
1.19/1.20/2.2
