Currently, when the AWS credential provider is initialized, a custom provider will only be initialized if refresh is disabled and no initial credentials are provided. In our case, our IRC sends back credentials, so our custom credential provider is never used. Also, we need to disable refresh even though our provider does perform refreshes.
