   Basically the introduction the catalog brings us back to the idea that we 
need to centralize the information about which tables own which snapshots in 
the same system. Without that, I think you still have a problem with clones of 
clones (or clones of  descendents of clones.)
   
   Even with tagging you end up in situations like this
   
   Clone A -> B
   Clone B -> C
   
   So now I have source A which has clone B and I have Source B of Clone C
   
   Removing B doesn't mean I'm done with the files in A and A has no 
information about C so our logic is more complicated still

   I'm wondering if we can just get schema into branches and just have this 
information locally. Outside of this what are we missing in branching, 
independent locations?
