   @kevinjqliu not for my usecase, no. For production workloads we are only 
allowed to use published packages. We do have an Artifactory package repo that 
I can upload packages to, but I would prefer to use official releases and not 
maintain a fork.
   
   Are the maintainers trying to hit a 1.0.0 version next instead of 
incrementing minor versions? It's been 5 months since the last release and 
there are already so many changes; meaning it's a much bigger upgrade than the 
simple minor version increment suggests.
