Ignore my question; it's because of Nessie; reference versions are catalog versions with Nessie and table history will always show just 1 snapshot id. https://github.com/projectnessie/nessie/issues/9634 https://projectnessie.org/guides/iceberg-rest/#time-travel-with-iceberg-rest Btw; i figured out it was Nessie after swapping Nessie for a local SQLite catalog.
