That's great, thanks guys for looking! Yea for keeping main branch up to date, I saw this fix: https://github.com/apache/iceberg-docs/pull/210 has better instructions, I hope it fixes some of the issue, but definitely as you said it is not written with patch release in mind. I still think it would be great if 'latest' can be soft redirect somewhere. If it needs to be a git branch, we can consider changing it to a git tag? That way , release manager does have to stress about making that branch same as the release branch , as sometimes force-push is necessary depending on how messed up the 'latest' branch history is. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
