Simon Vogl created GUACAMOLE-2178:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Better styling for "Text Input" mode
                 Key: GUACAMOLE-2178
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-2178
             Project: Guacamole
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: guacamole-client
    Affects Versions: 1.6.0
            Reporter: Simon Vogl
             Fix For: 1.6.1

For non-technical users who are occasionally using guacamole+vnc to access
their devices via tablets/cell phones. We want to enable them to enter text in
a low-effort way:

First, in order to the text input box a little more intuitive, we have styled
the default gray rectangle with a bright border and added a placeholder text so
people will recognize this as an area for text input much easier.

Furthermore, as keyboard and  as the guacamole frontend is we have extended the
preferences service to check for a cookie (GUAC_INPUT_METHOD) with the desired
input method. That way, no keyboard nor swipe gesture is necessary. In our
environment, we set this cookie when redirecting to the guacamole UI.
