Florian Obradovic commented on GUACAMOLE-2010:

Thanks [~mjumper].
{quote}it is not possible to know with certainty which user put the file there,
so we instead send the file strictly to the original user.

I was thinking the same and agree - Even if we allow it, the user experience
would be at least strange and unpredictable.

Having the file browser available / Guacamole menu (ctrl + alt + shift) as an
option / extra sharing permission would be awesome.

Best regards, Flo.

> Dear Team.
> When [sharing the
> connection|https://guacamole.apache.org/doc/gug/using-guacamole.html#sharing-the-connection]
> the user using the link / shared connection can upload files via drag-n-drop
> on the browser window *but can't download files* from the remote machine.
> When moving files into the "Download" folder of the [RDP virtual
> drive|https://guacamole.apache.org/doc/gug/using-guacamole.html#the-rdp-virtual-drive]
> as the "guest", the file download starts automatically in the browser of the
> authenticated user *but not in the browser of the guest.*
> *!image-2024-12-30-11-09-57-523.png|width=862,height=347!*
> *Suggestion:*
> * automatically download files for the temporary access user
> * allow the drive for guests within the "Guacamole Menu"

> I tried my best to outline my issue :)
> Keep up the great work ❤️
> Many thanks and best regards, Flo
