Will Horner commented on GUACAMOLE-1820: ---------------------------------------- Im fully supportive of features that save time and help identify where activities happen in recordings and logs. But I trust that Guacamole does not currently (and will never start) recording and presenting keystrokes that could be entering passwords, secrets or any other private information into the remote session? For example a sudo password or a UAC password on Windows. Or a website/cloud service account or password. Or a password reset. To name a few reasons. In my opinion, there are enough privacy issues associated with session recording, without adding more. > Enable viewing / searching of key events in session recording playback > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: GUACAMOLE-1820 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1820 > Project: Guacamole > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Documentation, guacamole > Reporter: James Muehlner > Assignee: James Muehlner > Priority: Major > Fix For: 1.6.0 > > > If key events are included in a session recording, they should be viewable > and searchable in the in-browser session recording player. The output could > be formatted similarly to the output of the "guaclog" tool. > An administrator should also be able to navigate to the location in the > recording where a particular set of key events occured. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
