Nick Couchman commented on GUACAMOLE-1445:
------------------------------------------

[~mboehm21]: I do not see any pull requests open for this, so I would say it
will not be in the next release, nor does it have any target release at all.

> Accessibility improvements for use with keyboard only / screenreader

> Key: GUACAMOLE-1445
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1445
> Project: Guacamole
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: guacamole

> Priority: Major
>
> Guacamole should be usable without any mouse interaction to pass software
> accessibility audits and for it to work with screenreaders. It should be
> possible to reach all menus and functions of Guacamole with keyboard only
> (tab, arrows, enter). Furthermore there should be a clearly visible focus on
> the button or element that is currently chosen.
> We found the following issues regarding the points listed above:
> * "All Connections" ->  Folder with nested connections cannot be opened
> without the mouse (plus icon is not reachable via tab)
> * Menu in the upper right corner (labeled with the username) including
> Settings and Logout is not reachable via tab
> * Any setting in the Ctrl + Alt + Shift menu cannot be reached without
> setting the focus with the mouse first
> * "Disconnected" menu after loging out of a session cannot be focussed
> without mouse. The focus should be on this menu automatically after logout
> and the buttons should be usable via tabulator key and highlighted properly.
> We would highly appreciate if you would decide to make Guacamole accessible
> to everyone with the proposed changes and can support with testing.
