can confirm that "set scrolloff=0" solves this for vim, but I have not found a 
solution for nano and my students use nano. Any long text file opened with nano 
and scrolled a bit with page up/down makes the file view a complete mess. I 
have tried several options for nano, but the only relevant option I have found 
is --jumpyscrolling  but that does not solve the issue.
