After investigating further, it was found that while there is a slight
degradation in get and getAll performance when compared to 1.10.0, it is within
5%, and has been present since 1.11.0 without getting worse. While further
investigation to identify the source of and remedy this minor degradation would
be good, this ticket should probably not be considered a release blocker for
1.14.0 as there is no performance difference between 1.14.0 and any of the
previous releases back as far as 1.11.0.
