Around Geode 1.6 the brew maintainers changed Geode's brew dependency on Java
from 1.8+ to 1.8, citing GEODE-3
Although Geode still must be compiled on JDK 8, is does support running on Java
11 (and perhaps later, has anyone tried...?)
It would be nice to update the brew formula, as Java 11 provides a faster and
more secure runtime overall.
