The rewrite looks pretty promising! We're currently looking into an Avro
release 1.13.0 which will definitely include this plugin. It's possible that
the next minor 1.12.x Avro release won't have this feature yet -- if that's the
case, we'll stay motivated to do a 1.13.0 ASAP (a much shorter gap than in the
past).
