Hi Jim,

It should not make a difference that you are using a demo. What version of
InterMapper server and InterMapper RemoteAccess are you using? I assume you
are logged on to IMRA as an admin user, since you are able to import probe
files?

Clicking an InterMapper server in the Map List will select it. As Frank
mentioned, simply opening a map and using the File > Import > MIB command
should work.

What happens when you run InterMapper on the server and try the same import
command? Is it still grayed out?

Hi Janice,

Thanks for your quick response.

As far as I know (and I am new to this :-)), I have the server selected. All
the "Import" option are black except for the "MIB", which stubbornly remains
gray. I have imported a number of custom probes and that seems to have
worked.

Just to make sure that I've got it right, what are the detailed steps for
selecting a server, and how do I tell if a server has been selected?

It should be said that for this investigation I downloaded the demo version
of the remote client. Should that make a difference?

Thanks,
Jim
