[Interest] QML: Loading a .gif directly from memory

Hi all,

I can't seem to find a way to play a .gif directly from memory in QML.
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qtquick-animatedimage.html doesn't support 
QQuickImageProvider which would be my go-to.
Unfortunately loading from disk or using qrc files isn't an option.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
