By the way, there are some more tickets regarding the selection/cursor handles. e.q QTBUG-58700 and QTBUG-57031. Unfortunately there seems to be no API to manually hide/show the selection/cursor handles. Otherwise it would be possible to add some fixes to the enduser application to fix some issues there in the meantime. So I hope that one of the Android maintainers finds some time to tackle some of the issues. I would really appreciate that a LOT and it would for sure also result in more awesome showcase applications (as I said, in my experience most of the users start with a TextArea and just a few basic components).
