because in Forum another dev got it running (under Linux) with
openssl-1.0.2h
I downloaded 1.0.2h and tried again
this time after Configuration I got info to execute make depend
and also get error:

any idea what can be wrong ?
this is now a show-stopper for me because in Qt 5.8 openssl is required
on Android 7 even when only using http
