I am not seeing any run-time-crashing or build issues under iOS. I just made a
release for iOS with Qt 5.6.2 Xcode 8.0, under OS X 10.11.6. I have no crashes
reported from testers.

I had an issue where I had to manually edit something to make Xcode 8/0 happy
with Qt5.6.1. I am no longer seeing this.

Are you sure Qt 5.6.2 is being called rather than an older Qt 5.6.* ?

Clean and delete your old shadow-build directories?
