What tricks do you mean? Perhaps I'm not up to date with the win API,
but I don't remember something really special about the registry.
Basically windows telling you you can read and/or write somewhere, when
in fact windows is redirecting those reads and/or writes to somewhere
else specific for your user behind your back.
