Ok: Someone must have come across this problem before.
Loader->sourceComponent is too heavy and causes screen flicker. QMetaObject::invokeMethod(gobj,"doLayout",Qt::QueuedConnection) does not work on QQuickText class objects. Hopefully someone has already skinned this cat.
