For us, it was a very welcomed behavioral change. Will this be in 5.5 then?
This breaks our app and back-end processing for mobile. How do we fix this?

This is not caused by a change in the AVFoundation plugin. EXIF orientation support in QImage was added in 5.4.0 but it was then removed in 5.4.2 because it was a behavioral change.
