I also support an application that I will have to maintain for years (health care - 15 years min.) - and yes - it depends on QtScript and I don't see the new QJSEngine API support all my needs. Since I have to keep old code (script code) running I as well feel this decision is the worst regarding qt ever! so: +1 from me!
