You dramatically improve the chances that your bug is fixed if you report your findings here: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/ Especially if you have such a nice example which reliably reproduces this bug. It also immensely helps if you mention the Qt version, the platform (e.g. "OS X 10.9") and maybe even the compiler tools used (e.g. "Standard compiler suite from latest Xcode 6.1").
