Not intentionally and the fix it trivial (I just did a new build with gcc 4.4), the fix is https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/87646/. It does mean qtwebkit 5.3.0 and probably 5.3.1 does not build with gcc 4.4 out of the box.
