The trouble is usually the plugins & QML imports, which are runtime dependencies not declared in qmake. Neither are e.g. VS runtimes, ICU libs if needed etc . Anyhow, for a "just get something to deploy", copying all Qt libs, plugins, QML imports etc is a safe choice.
