Have you looked at Qtuio? http://qtuio.sirbabyface.net/
I've been thinking about going with a PQ Labs overlay, but linux support is very important to me. I think they have improved their linux support a little but can't get any real solid info on it either and haven't decided whether to get one yet or not. I'm also interested in any info on this and how your project goes. - Swyped from my droid. My work group is going to acquire an Evoluce multi-touch screen that's basically a very large screen with a PQ Labs overlay supporting up to 6 fingers (which is quite disappointing but I'll have to live with that). I couldn't find much information on the Internet about this so I'm asking for opinions and experiences with the PQ Labs overlays and Qt software. Now, the only thing I know is that the overlay we'll have is not supported under Linux since PQ Labs doesn't provide drivers for older models, so I'm stuck with Windows or OS X. Also, I'm told the overlay's driver outputs cursor in TUIO format. My only previous experience with Qt and multi-touch dates back to the days when Qt didn't support multiple cursors so I had to develop my own support for my own applications, though I have worked with TUIO before. The thing is that every single Evoluce demo I see around is using exclusively Windows, and I'm not familiar enough with it to assess the state of the art. If anybody had any experience with this combo, I'd appreciate any insight.
