Sorry for starting this thread, but as the news were bit of a shock, I 
think it is understandable, I was caught up in the moment.

Also when the heat rises, all sorts of creatures crawl out of the 
woodwork, as witnessed by this thread.

Reading the Finnish news, looks like Nokia board themselves took the 
final decision only at the end of the  two day meeting Tuesday and 
Wednesday.    And by the sound of it, it wasn't necessarily clear cut.  
Most likely just the most charismatic person(s) in the room managed to 
impose their point of view.

It was undoubtedly hard to scale Meltemi down to run on 5 penny hardware 
Nokia is so fond of.  But it would have been so much easier to scale it 
up after the Microsoft agreement moratorium is over.

Anyway, I think Nokia has been good for Qt over these past years, and 
I'm grateful for everybody's past and continuing contributions.   Let's 
see how the land lies after the dust settles.

I'll shut up know on this topic, still some Qt coding to do ;)
