John, I understand about moving. I've just moved twice in six months!! This one's a bit more permanent, since we own it :)
Running the dev version is really not too difficult (though a bit more so under Windows, but I thought you were on Ubuntu?) I could help you set it up - it's pretty simple. And it's fun to watch the progression. (I'm absolutely not a programmer either :) But if you want to help document 0.47 without it, you certainly can, just like you've been doing.
