Another random idea...  At a Ubuntu conference I attended, the local LUG
took a group photo, printed it up as a puzzle, and left it in the
commons area for people to work on during the conference.

Imagine doing similarly at a conference, except with the image being the
most recent Inkscape About screen.  The puzzles run about $30 + shipping:

A further idea is to have a smaller sized puzzle (5x7 or 8x10) there at
the booth itself, for passers-by to stop and work on while they chat
