I’m running Xapian 1.4.9, it’s pretty new… One feature that's missing in Xapian 1.4 is improved support for Chinese and Japanese snippet generation. If you don't need that, you should be fine with 1.4. Otherwise I suggest to use either Xapian upstream master, or our cyruslibs copy at https://github.com/cyrusimap/cyruslibs Cheers, Robert
