HI there,
i'd like to set-up an working IMAP Server on my Gentoo
System. I used the Postfix-Cyrus-Web-cyradm-HOWTO from
http://www.delouw.ch/linux/Postfix-Cyrus-Web-cyradm-HOWTO/html/index.html
Because I use Gentoo, I compiled all the packages
with the emerge command. Here are the versions for
my installed packages:
cyrus-sasl-2.1.21-r1
cyrus-imapd-2.2.12
postfix-2.1.5-r2
pam_mysql-0.6.0
mysql-4.0.25-r2
web-cyradm-0.5.4.1
They all compiled without errors but after i wanted to
create the user cyrus with the command
# saslpasswd2 -c cyrus
Password:
Again (for verification):
... the following errors appear in /var/log/messages:

I don't understand why sasl won't find the DB.
Another Problem is the command to connect to the
Server.
When i type in the following command to the Server I
get the following output:
# cyradm --user cyrus --server localhost --auth plain

Hope anyone can help me to get the authentication
work...
And i don't know why the User account has been expired
though it has never worked before...
