Hi

Several programs don't agree on what cyrus-imap is reporting on a particular mailbox in my imap installation.

Here is the imap transcript
fanta:/var/www/webmail/config# telnet localhost 143
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK fanta.veritel.com.au Cyrus IMAP4 v2.2.3-Debian-2.2.3-0.7 server ready
a001 login [EMAIL PROTECTED] XXXX
a001 OK User logged in
a002 list "" *
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) "/" "INBOX"
a002 OK Completed (0.010 secs 2 calls)
a003 select INBOX
a003 NO Mailbox does not exist
a004 logout
* BYE LOGOUT received
a004 OK Completed
Connection closed by foreign host.
fanta:/var/www/webmail/config#

So why does cyrus-imap report that INBOX exists, but then refuses to select it?

reconstruct thinks all is fine
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/imap$ /usr/sbin/cyrreconstruct -rfx user/[EMAIL PROTECTED]

user/rajdra.gpta/[EMAIL PROTECTED]

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/imap$

I'm using cyrus-imap v2.2.3 on debian 3.1
I know I can delete the entire mailbox and start again, but I don't know how to recover and maintain the messages that exist in the mailbox

Thanks
Don
