Last Friday, my saslauthd process (the default version on RHEL3) consumed up all of the memory on my mail server, making it very slow and some processes were force exited because of insufficient memory.

Some users with mailboxes open during that time have had some corruption to their mailboxes. In most cases, deleting the cyrus.cache file in that mailbox and running the 'reconstruct' command solved the problem. However, in one case (and this may be unrelated), a user reported one of his mailboxes being deleted entirely. I am running Cyrus version 2.2.9. Is this possible?

Thank you.
