and as you can see by the logs, my telnet login goes through but my
'admin' connection via horde/imp is rejected (same
localhost/username/password/protocol)

less than 1 minute apart

I have tried MECH="pam" and MECH="shadow" and it seems to make little
difference.
Why does this happen? How can I get more info on what is going on?
