I have stupidly deleted a users directory while setting up cyrus. It now works but the user is a ghost which I cannot get rid of:
dm user/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
deletemailbox: Permission denied
sam user/[EMAIL PROTECTED] manager d setaclmailbox: manager: d: System I/O error
reconstruct user/[EMAIL PROTECTED] reconstruct: Operating System Error
I tried to make a new directory for the ghost user, but of course this also did not work.
I saw in the archives that someone had used a "Brute force and ignorance" approach - i think this is what I am left with.
http://www.mail-archive.com/info-cyrus@lists.andrew.cmu.edu/msg11301.html
The server has mailboxes set up, but there are only two people using it at the moment (testing, it goes live 24th) - what are the risks of doing the bfi approach here.
I can export the list with ctl_mboxlist -d and import with ctl_mboxlist -u < /path/to/file, but how do I kill the old db? and what else will I need to do to get it back to normal (It is part of a kolab2 install - auth from ldap)
If anyone has any other suggestions on how to get rid of this ghost, i would be very grateful!
Thanks, H
